Gender and Development, with its initiative and collaboration with other institutional organizations, supported and celebrated the 2024 National Women’s Month Celebration last March 2024 with the theme “LIPUNANG PATAS SA BAGONG PILIPINAS, KAKAYAHAN NG KABABAIHAN, PATUTUNAYAN.”

The celebration started with JUANA: Exploring the orbits of possibilities through celestial sisterhood ON March 8, 2024, held at LRV Student Pavilion.

It was attended by a total number of 228 participants (64 male and 164 female). The activity aimed at spotlighting the diverse roles of women in society and their resilience in navigating societal standards.

During the celebration, a seminar for Laboratory High School was conducted entitled “ADOLE-SENSE: How to be myself” held at Mini Theater on March 21, 2024, headed by Mr. Wilson Prevosa. This seminar-workshop was vital to LHS students in resolving confusion about their gender roles and identity as they are somewhat crucial at this stage of life. It was actively participated by 66 male and 83 female students.

This year's celebration opened an avenue to continue what women's empowerment can go further.
